Our Compliance Standard

How we check and engage our drivers, and how responsibilities are shared between Drivora and you as the operator.

Drivora is run by qualified transport managers with real operational experience, holding Transport Manager CPC qualifications for both HGV and PCV between us. This page sets out what we check, how drivers are engaged, and where the operator's responsibilities continue.

1. Before a driver is placed

  • Licence. Entitlement for the vehicle category, and endorsements, checked with the DVLA (or the DVA for Northern Ireland licences).
  • Driver CPC. Driver Qualification Card in date, and whether it is national or international.
  • Tachograph card. Valid digital tachograph driver card.
  • Right to work. Confirmed before any work is offered.
  • ADR card. Where needed, checked against the goods, the way they are carried and the expiry date.
  • Experience. Work history and references relevant to the vehicles and work we place them in.

2. How drivers are engaged

Drivers are engaged through PAYE or properly vetted limited companies. We don't use false self-employment, as it puts drivers and operators at risk.

3. At booking

We ask about the vehicle, the work, the route and any site rules, and match a driver who has done that kind of work. You receive the driver's details before the job, so you can carry out your own induction and checks.

4. During and after the job

  • Timesheets recorded digitally and available to you
  • Drivers briefed to raise any schedule that would break the drivers' hours rules
  • Any infringement or incident report you send us is acted on and recorded
  • Driver documents re-checked before they expire

Data protection

Driver checks involve personal data. We hold it securely, share only what an operator needs, and keep it no longer than necessary. See our privacy policy. Our ICO registration number is ZB693889.
